Congratulations on all the great swims at both the LCM Indianapolis and LCM Buffalo Sectionals this past weekend. We had a number of best times. Congratulations to Chloe Kim on Winning 3 events at the Indianapolis Sectionals: 400 Free (4:15.02 – New Senior National Cut); 800 Free (8:44.24); 1500 Free (16:41.16). Chloe also placed 3rd in the 400 IM (4:47.72). Our Women’s 400 Meter Medley Relay (Rebekah Jung, Kayla Rodriguez, Chloe Kim, Iris Kim) placed 2nd overall (4:20.40) in a New Team Relay Record. Congratulations to all our Scarlet swimmers and families on a successful State Championship / Gold Championships weekend! Scarlet won the Gold Championships meet with a combined 9027.5 points (6272 points more than the 2nd place team) and won both the Men’s and Women’s categories. We had several new Sectional qualifiers as well as 1 New Team Record, 1 new Summer Junior National cut and 1 NJ Swimming Record broken. We had a great meet this past weekend at the Super Bowl Splash meet at Rutgers. Several best times and several New Sectional cuts as well as 2 New Team Records. Chloe Kim broke the team record in the 50 Free with a :23.28 and Chloe also broke the 100 backstroke team record with a :54.37. Chloe's 100 backstroke was also a Summer Junior National cut. Wow! Amazing Weekend at the Holiday Classic Swim Meet at Rutgers. This past weekend, our National-Sectional group attended a unique meet in North Carolina hosted by SwimMac. The meet included a Long Course meter prelim swim followed by a Short Course yard final. The finals included multiple heats including the top final - an “ultra-final” where only the top 2 swimmers from prelims competed. The group performed great with several event winners including Chloe Kim winning 4 events (200 Free, 500 Free, 400 IM & 200 Fly).
